Ms. Khayala Mammadova is a highly experienced expert with a strong background in economic and technical project analysis, business management, strategic planning, entrepreneurship development, and both macroeconomic and microeconomic research. Her work spans key areas such as youth employment, human capital development,
career planning, and women's empowerment through social entrepreneurship.
She has served as an expert and trainer in various consortium projects supported by the United Nations Department of Public Information (Azerbaijan Office), International Labour Organization, European Commission, OECD and other international institutions. As part of the World Bank’s Public Investment Capacity Development for Civil Servants project, she lectured in the “Project Management” master program at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Ms. Mammadova has played a significant role in the development and expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Azerbaijan, promoting innovation and attracting foreign investment. She also possesses deep domain knowledge and practical experience in the financial sector, including banking. In addition, she is an active contributor to the advancement of technology and digitalization in finance and trade. Ms. Mammadova is a member of the Working Group on Digital Payments for Trade and Commerce at the World Economic Forum and has contributed to various international and regional publications, including those by WEF, UNESCAP, IOM, and OECD. She has been recognized with numerous awards for her leadership and impact.
In the technology and innovation domain, she was selected as a Mentor and Jury member for the Google AI Hackathon (June 2024) and appointed Google Women Tech Ambassador (August 2024).
Academically, Ms. Mammadova serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at UNEC Business School’s MBA in Blockchain Technology program (since February 2020). She develops and teaches courses including Digital Business Applications, AI in Financial Analysis, Digital Business and E-commerce Management, and Introduction to Blockchain Platforms, Cryptocurrencies, and the Digital Economy.
